The 4-door compact SUV, Ford Escape is re-skinned for this year. The 2008 Ford Escape is launched in three exciting trim levels namely XLS, XLT and Limited. The Ford Escape wheels come with either front wheel or all wheel drive and this is standard for all the models. For 2008, Ford has launched nine new models and these are:

- XLT FWD I4
- XLS 4WD AT
- XLT FWD V6
- XLT 4WD I4
- Limited FWD
- XLT 4WD V6
- Limited 4WD
All the models accommodate up to five adult passengers with ease. The 2008 Ford Escape SUV is one of the most fuel-efficient cars in town. All these models equally maintain the reputation of the company for producing fuel-economic cars.
XLS Trim
The XLS trim of the 2008 Ford Escape has standard 16-inch aluminum wheels, power accessories, leather-wrapped steering wheel, air-conditioning, a CD player with audio input jack, cruise control and an auto-dimming rear-view mirror. The 2008 Ford Escape XLS is launched with a standard 2.3-liter engine along with an optional 5 speed manual transmission or 4 speed automatic transmission. An inline-4, 153-horsepower engine gives 22-mpg in the city and 28-mpg on the highway.
XLT Trim
Just like the XLS trim, the XLT also comes with standard 16-inch aluminum wheels, 2.3-liter I4 engine with 4 speed automatic transmission. It also includes the leather upholstery and 4-wheel-anti brake system. There are some other standard features like air-conditioning, cruise control, power steering and fog lamps present in the XLT trim. A V6 engine is offered as an optional feature for the XLT model.
Limited Trim
With a 3.0-liter V6 engine that provides 200 horsepower, the limited model is an exception in the 2008 line-up for Escape. The latest Escape Limited includes a color-keyed grille, auto-dimming rearview mirror, side mirrors and leather seating. This model also has 16-inch bright-machined wheels, providing a sporty look to the compact SUV.
