The rear seats of the compact SUV are 60/40-split fold to provide ample space for cargoes. With a standard 2.3 liter, I4 engine that gives 153 horsepower Ford Escape gets a new life. A 5-speed manual transmission with overdrive is also standard. This engine provides 22-mpg in the city and 28-mpg on the highway. The limited model has an optional 3.0-liter, V6 engine with a four speed automatic transmission.
